The Boston Film is a Boston film brand, brought to Taiwan by a Taiwanese team. We built this site to share everything we love about shooting film — the stocks, the cameras, and the culture around them — in one honest, bilingual place.

Who we are

The Boston Film (波士頓底片公司) is a film brand born in Boston and made for people who love shooting analog — now officially brought to Taiwan by a local team. We import and distribute Boston Film 400, and we work hand in hand with Boston Camera, where every film camera, lens and roll of film is cleaned, tested and ready to shoot. To us, film isn't just a medium — it's a way of seeing and remembering. This site is how we share that love, carefully organised, with the world.

Why we made this

Film photography is thriving again, but a genuinely complete, well-organised Chinese-language resource never really existed. So we made one. Our goal is simple: help anyone — from a first-time shooter to a seasoned darkroom hand — understand analog film culture and camera culture, in both English and Traditional Chinese.

How we do it honestly

Film colour on this site is shown with generated visualizations derived from each stock's real tonal character — not copyrighted sample photos. Specifications follow manufacturers' data sheets, and development times are cross-checked against official sources. If you spot something to improve, we'd love to hear it.
