Generated color character — not a sample photograph
Velvia 50 is the iconic E-6 slide film famed for its intense saturation, punchy contrast and razor-fine grain — the definitive choice for landscape photographers.
Character & look
Velvia renders greens and reds with electric intensity and sky blues that pop. Its narrow latitude demands precise exposure, but the reward is jewel-like, projector-ready transparencies with unmatched color impact.

Shooting & development tips
Meter for the highlights and bracket — slide film has little room for error. A tripod and graduated ND filters help tame its high contrast in landscapes.
FAQ
Why is Velvia so hard to expose?
As a slide film its latitude is very narrow (about one stop each way), so highlights blow out and shadows block up quickly. Accurate metering is essential.
